This presentation, given at the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción (7th August 2012) was entitled Presencia del guarani en la canción paraguaya and drew on an earlier research project on bilingualism in Paraguayan song that I carried out back in 2005.  Although I am no longer researching in this area at the moment, I was keen to share my findings with a Paraguayan audience.  This gave me the opportunity to engage in a fascinating discussion of multilingualism issues with Paraguayan students, academics and musicians.
